After a long time in between our first visit it is really nice to see that this restaurant is doing well with a nice menu of many Southeast Asian dishes. Nice and clean restaurant with plenty of seats. Parking is easy. We started with shrimp fried rice which was very good. We also had Egg Rolls and Chicken Satay. The food came out fast. and was definitely freshly cooked. I had the Laksa and it was delicious. My wife had and our daughter had Chicken Randang and son-in-law had Chicken Hainanese Rice. I'm so glad we returned for this delicious meals. Well worth more future visits.

I rarely write reviews but man I love this restaurant so much I feel like I need to share with the world. First of all, I love coming in because of the customer service. The owner is so friendly and makes us feel so welcome every time we come in. Then the food. The food is out of this world. The beef satay is tender, flavorful. My wife gets the chicken or beef rendang which we love. But my all time favorite dish is the laksa soup. It's creamy, rich, filling, and just the right amount of spice. The place is clean, spacious, and just a great area. Also nice having the asian market next door. Anyways, I love this place and it's nice to have a restaurant like this in our rotation.

I've had my eye on Barzar Eatery for a while now, and I finally got the chance to try it with some Indonesian food experts on our way home from San Francisco. It's a young restaurant, about a year old, and located in a new strip mall in Vacaville, just off the highway. There's an Asian supermarket next door. The ambience inside is modern and a mix of bright, airy walls and dark tables and plates. The mirror inside the bathroom is high tech and fancy. Service was super friendly and fast. You can actually order and pay using the QR code on the table, or do it the old fashioned way with a server. While I like the QR code method (especially if ordering in large groups with split checks), I was really glad they gave us both options. We ordered the shrimp fried rice (nasi goreng), shrimp fried noodles (mee goreng), beef rendang, seafood laksa, lamb satay, chicken satay, and cendol for dessert. We also got a side of white rice and some cendol for dessert. There were complimentary shrimp chips (krupuk) that was refilled when our little krupuk monster kept emptying the plate. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the laksa. The broth was creamy and rich from the coconut milk. Others at the table really enjoyed the beef rendang and lamb satay. I would definitely recommend for people wanting authentic Indonesian food, and I plan to come back to try other menu items.

This restaurant is right next to County Square market. The server operating the counter sat us right away. Despite taking mobile orders and assisting a busy restaurant she was able to take our orders right away. We were served shrimp chips as we waited for our appetizers and meals to come out, and the chili sauce is made in house. We ordered pangsit goreng, tofu satay, laksa and mee goreng shrimp. Each dish was packed with flavor and we could not collectively decide on a favorite. Will definitely be back again!

Great tasting Laksa Soup and Hainan Chicken? Sign me up! I was lucky to have been able to visit Singapore a few years ago and absolutely loved the food there. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything similar back in the states.... until now.... Barzar Eatery!!! You have no idea how happy I was to find this restaurant on Yelp. We came here for dinner right after finding the review. Sat down, ordered on the phone with the QR code (and later paid by phone). The woman running around at the front of the house was pretty efficient and we thought it was funny because she said to us "sorry for the food being slow" at least four times when we were there. Maybe service was slightly slower than my expectation, but it wasn't a big deal. Everything was awesome but I will highlight in descending order of my favorites- Laksa Noodle Soup - seafood, spicy, coconut cream - I don't know what spices are in here but it's darn tasty and I thought it was as good as what I had in Singapore. Hainanese Chicken - ultra tender chicken. The ginger scallion sauce is the bomb, so throw that on everything. Chicken Rendang - Coconut curry chicken with rice. Asian comfort food. This was served with white rice (not sure if the menu was wrong or the menu pictures online were not up to date). Lamb Satay - super flavorful, slightly sweet, and tender. Nice app to start the meal with Pangsit Goreng - curry beef and onion in fried wontons. This reminds me of the curry puffs in Chinese bakeries except in a different wrapper. Mee-Goreng Beef Tripe - flavorful and a lot of different types of texture going on with the noodles, tripe, fish cake, and bean sprouts. Complimentary free shrimp chips! Overall, just an unbelievable find in Vacaville. I'm smiling just knowing that some of my favorite foods are accessible again.

Driving up to Tahoe from the South Bay is always painful as it's fraught with traffic. I took the Friday off before the long Memorial Day weekend to avoid traffic and be more leisurely about heading to the mountains. Vacaville was the right spot to stop for lunch and good old Yelp provided us with a pointer to Barzar. I am sure glad we stopped because it's been a long time since we've had good Southeast Asian food. For starters, we had the spring rolls and they were delicious. The Hiananese Chicken was cooked perfectly. Shame on me, I shouldn't have eaten the skin but it was just too good. Oh man, it's been a while since I had a Laksa and it brought back fond memories. Actually, it could have been a bit spicier but hey, it was damn good. I would come back in a heartbeat. In fact, I would have come back on the way home but the timing didn't work out. Next time for sure!

Nice cozy Indonesian eatery in Vacaville, about 40 minutes drive from Sacramento. Good food and friendly folks. Sam the chef owner learned cooking from his mom growing up. Food wise we tried the following: - Laksa: 4 out of 5 good flavor overall, quite authentic and probably the best you can find in NorCal area (my fav is Borneo Eatery in Alhambra SoCal) - Hainan chicken rice: 3 out of 5 chicken is good but the rice is not the typical Hainan rice, and doesn't come with the red sambal & special slightly sweet soy sauce that are the staple of oh so good Singapore style Hainan chicken rice - Lamb satay: 3 out of 5 tender but was expecting the more traditional non marinated style with sweet soy sauce dipping on the side - Pork satay: 3 out of 5 some chunks are a bit tough and overall flavor lacking in depth - Beef rendang: 4 out of 5 very tender yummy pieces comes with yellow rice - Beef fried noodle: 2 out of 5: we like this one the least as the noodle is over cooked and lacking in flavor (we do taste the belacan shrimp paste but other than that just falls flat) Overall it's a solid place and kudos to the owners for introducing Indonesian cooking to the area especially there's not much choices in NorCal for Indonesian food even in the Bay Area SF or San Jose.

Another scrumptious dinner! We were craving Laksa, and Barzar is the only place that serves it deliciously. Also do not pass up the megoran noodles and always get the veggie stir fry w/ the okra, eggplant, and cabbage...flavors are wild! The kindly owner offered some drinks and rice on the house. Service here just feels so homey and comfy. Hoping to the take the hubby, who is a fan of Hainanese chicken rice, and I ordered a take out for him. Terima kasih very much!
